Garage to Man cave project

A client approached me to help change his tired spider infested garage into a suitable space to relax and entertain.

This project started out with the entire roof of the garage being removed and a new roof fitted as the old roof was damaged and leaking, The next job was then removing all the old rubbish from inside the garage and erecting a framework. Once the frames were in place new Rockwool insulation was fitted and then plasterboard's fitted onto the timber frames.

I ran a new electrical supply up the garden directly from the main houses consumer board into the garage, and installed a new garage consumer unit, and ran cables in for new lighting and ring main circuit’s

The entire interior was dry lined and filled and given 2 miss coats and 2 coats of white emulsion. Skirting boards and coving boards were fitted to give the room a more homely feel. The project was hampered a little by the metal frame work within the garage as I was not able to be remove it due to the integral strength it gave to the building.

New industrial style spot lights were fitted to the roof, and up and down lights fitted to give the space a cozy feel.

A new tiled floor was laid and the old up and over garage door was replaced by new Bi-fold doors.
